Fornalutx is located in the valley of Sóller, 6 km from Sóller and close to the Puig Major, the highest point of the Serra de Tramuntana. It is recognised as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. It is not surprising that it has received numerous awards for how well cared for and preserved its inhabitants keep the village.
The history of Fornalutx goes back more than 1,000 years. It began as an Arab farmhouse and later, with the Christian conquest, it began to take on the form of the village that we can see today.
